Canada needs a million new blood donors. Northern BC can help.
Canada also relies on the United States for 70 percent of key blood plasma-based medications.
Northerners want to help, but we have had no blood donor centre in our region since 2015. To donate blood or blood plasma, we need to go to Kelowna, Metro Vancouver, or Alberta.
Please sign our petition to bring blood donation back
We’re asking Canadian Blood Services to bring donation opportunities back by establishing a blood plasma donor centre in Prince George like the one in Thunder Bay Ontario.
Together, we can help strengthen Canada’s blood system, reduce dependence on plasma imports from the United States, and prove that rural communities can and will make a difference in saving lives across Canada.
